Established in Bhaktapur, Nepal in 2002 with five girls in residence, the Unatti Group Home for Girls now raises 36 local girls ages 5 to 23 years old.
Girls come to the Unatti Group Home for Girls through referrals from the local Social Welfare District and trusted community partners. Each referral begins with listening. Our social workers take time to visit a girl’s home, sit with her family, and speak with teachers and neighbors who know her world. These conversations help us understand not just her challenges, but her strengths, her relationships, and what she needs to feel safe and supported.
Only after this thoughtful process do we welcome a girl into the Unatti home—ensuring that every decision is guided by care, dignity, and a commitment to her long-term wellbeing.
