EVENT DETAILS

Sunday October 27, 2019

9 AM - 3 PM

395 Santa Monica Place | 3rd Floor

2020 STARTS NOW begins with yoga & sound healing by our very own Unatti board member, Jessica Esfandiary, on a tented Santa Monica rooftop, followed by an inspiring speaker series, vegan lunch and networking.

During the Keynote and Speaker Series, our guests will obtain tools on how to balance their personal and professional lives, raise money for their company, learn how to build brand awareness and how to attract clients rather than chase them.

Tony Lopez, founder of The Responsible Leader, believes that before one starts receiving abundance, prosperity and love, one has to give it away first – both to the community and to those in need.

As such, 100% of this events ticket proceeds and sponsorships will be donated to The Unatti Foundation, empowering girls of Nepal in vulnerable situations.

Both 2020 STARTS NOW and Unatti Foundation are aligned with supporting women in gaining independence, finding their fierce inner voice and inspiring them to give back to their communities.

Frances Motiwalla

Frances is a grassroots political organizer, who for the last decade has worked as the Deputy Director of Development for @PeaceAction—the nation’s largest grassroots peace network—to help organize to place pressure on Congress and the federal administration through write-in campaigns, internet actions, grassroots lobbying and direct action.

WHY I AM RUNNING FOR CONGRESS

I never anticipated leaving my work at Peace Action. But when I discovered that my Congressional representative had big banks, Monsanto, private prisons, defense corporations, fossil fuels, and AIPAC on his donor rolls—all while calling himself a progressive—I knew someone had to step up and challenge him.

As a Representative in Congress, I will continue my work impacting the issues I’ve been focused on for years—ending the war in Yemen immediately, pursuing serious diplomacy on the Korean Peninsula, and unearthing a path towards nuclear disarmament—while also being a force for change on the urgent domestic challenges our communities face.
